Over 70 women attended the recent launch of the Women Into Non-Traditional occupations (WINTO) launch event in Finsbury Park. The event, entitled Breaking the Mould: Women in Construction, was designed to provide information and advice on developing a career in construction and the building trades.
Speakers from a variety of organisations, colleges and women already working in the industry were invited to talk about a range of topics designed to help women find out more about:
- Career and training opportunities
- How to get a CSCS card
- Where to get free training, advice and support
- How other women have made it in the construction industry

The WINTO programme will be holding a series of events over the next 2 years to introduce women to the wide range of career opportunties in the Construction Industry.
